A Bit About Us

Lake Arrowhead Community Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbyterian Church USA, one of the oldest Protestant and Reformed Churches. Our church traces its heritage in a direct line from Martin Luther and John Calvin in the 16th century. The Presbyterian Church is named for its continuing practice of democratically electing its leaders who are called elders.

We share a thoughtful ministry. Members are encouraged to learn the Truth for themselves and incorporate God into their personal lives. We share joy and fellowship together and reach out to our community in good works. We are blessed with a faithful membership, a spectacular mountain setting, beautiful windows, a carillon and an exceptional pipe organ.

We have several traditions in our church service. Members share in the Call to Worship, Sharing of Joys and Concerns, Scripture readings, The Prayer for Forgiveness, The Lord's Prayer and the singing of songs of faith. On the last Sunday of each month we celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper. We have an open table; all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are welcome to take the elements with us. Home

Our Sunday Services

Lake Arrowhead Community Presbyterian Church holds a single service of worship at 10:00a.m. each Sunday - a Blended Service featuring both Contemporary music from our Praise Band and more Traditional Music from our Organist Billie Weis. At various times during the typical month, we have performances from Adult, Children's and Bell Choirs. We have a Social Time to meet and greet each other and share refreshments after service, followed by Sunday Morning Live...with study opportunities for both children and adults.

Church School is available during the service for children ages 4 through 6th grade.

Nursery care for children ages three and younger is provided during the worship service and Sunday Morning Live.

Our Leadership

In accordance with the Book of Order of the Presbyterian Church USA, our church leadership is vested in our Elders who are elected by the people of the church. Together with the Pastor, the Elders are responsible for the mission and government of the church.

The Session meets monthly to discuss and make decisions regarding church administration and functions. Elders assist in serving Communion, oversee our varied Christian Education opportunities and worship activities.

Our Board of Deacons minister to those who are in need and to any who may be in distress. The deacon ministry is one of sympathy, witness and service. Deacons meet on a regular basis and assist in the serving of Communion and direct special ministries of the church.
